core research   -   dialogues in clinical settings   -   ongoing collaborations

Is it possible to identify linguistic indicators of resilience in discourse produced by professionals working in high risk situations, for example military pilots, firefighters, healthcare professionals working in emergency settings?

This line of research is being developed in collaboration with Maria Gabriella Pediconi, Glauco Maria Genga and Michela Brunori.

This collaboration has produced the following publications and conference papers:

- “In the sky between expertise and unexpected. Feelings and resources of pilots' resilient Ego A psychoanalytic point of view”, in Longo, L., Leva, M.C. (Eds.), Human Mental Workload: Models and Applications. Proceedings of the 4th International Symposium, H-WORKLOAD 2020, Granada, Spain, December 3–5, 2020, Springer International Publishing.

- “Expressions of resilience in military pilots’ narrations of emergency situations”, paper presented at the 10th International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Applied Linguistics and Professional Practice (ALAPP), 16-17 September, 2020 – Digital conference
